SECTION 504

Baldwin Park Unified School District: Student Services
 
The Baldwin Park Unified School District has a duty to locate, evaluate and identify any child residing in the district who qualifies for Special Education or Section 504 accommodations or services.
 
Students with disabilities shall be provided a free appropriate public education (FAPE), as defined under Section 504 of the Federal Rehabilitation Act of 1973.  Such students shall receive general or special education and related aids and services designed to meet their individual educational needs as adequately as the needs of nondisabled students are met.
 
Children eligible for Section 504 accommodations or services include those children who have a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities.
 
If you suspect that your child has a disability and may require Special Education or Section 504 accommodations, or if you would like additional information, please do one of the following:

1. Contact the School Administration or Section 504 Coordinator at your child’s school.
