Greetings. I'm Superintendent Dr. Froilan Mendoza and it is my honor to welcome you to Baldwin Park Unified School District’s Virtual Employee Recognition Ceremony Thank you for joining us as we celebrate, recognize and offer our appreciation to our dedicated employees This year is incredibly special, as we highlight our honorees from the past two years in light of the challenges brought on by the pandemic. Our employees have shown resilience, adaptability, creativity, and most of all committed service to our educational community to ensure high achievement for all learners... whether it's our food service workers and classified staff who have been on the front lines from day one or our certificated of staff and administrators who created an online environment that was responsive to the needs of our students. You made it all happen... and now you are making it happen again, as we slowly come back to some sense of normalcy. Congratulations to our service award recipients who have given a total of 9185 years of service and our retirees who given 1617 years of service..... some of whom have been with us for over 40 years. And congratulations to our employees of the year, selected by their peers, who are shining examples of the excellence we see on a daily basis on our campuses. And finally, thank you to all of our employees who continue to do what it takes to support the students and families in our community Together we have been the cornerstone of the Baldwin Park community during these trying times. And together, we will continue the great work that our community expects and deserves. And now, I'd like to introduce you our amazing Board of Education President, Ms. Christina Lucero. Hello there! My name is Christina Lucero I am president of the Baldwin Park Unified School District Board of Education. On behalf of the entire Board of Education, I just want to thank all of our employees. You have done an amazing job this past year with pandemic. You have not only taken care of each, other you've taken care of our students and our community and I just want to thank you for all the service and all the heart you have put into what you do in our community. We are better because of you and so I thank you and I just want to congratulate all these service award recipients and our retirees... our retirees you will be missed. Your heart makes us who we are and for those of us that are here, we will try to live up to your expectations and do our very best to continue the work you have started. And again, thank you and on behalf of the Board of Education, we are very proud of you and we appreciate all you have done every year but more so this year the pandemic. Thank you.
