Phone Support
The District deployed a new phone system. This new Voice Over IP (VOIP) system replaced the old copper line based phone system. A VoIP telephone system allows the District to implement many functions and features not available in the legacy telephone system such as voice to email, virtual phone on the computer, receiving phone messages on mobile devices if desired and integration with other District systems. Another benefit as the name suggests, VoIP uses internet/broadband connection to make and receive telephone calls. This dramatically reduces running costs by eliminating the need for the plain old telephone lines.
