SB 359- California Math Placement Policy
Baldwin Park Unified School District utilizes the following criteria to identify placement for all 9th grade students in their Mathematics courses.
- If a student receives the following criteria, they will be placed in Integrated Math 2 in their ninth grade year.
- Exceeds or meets standards on their Math 8 SBAC assessment
- Exceeds or meets standards on their Integrated Math 1 Benchmark
- Exceeds or meets standards on their Integrated Math 2 MDTP Readiness Assessment
If a student did not take Integrated Math 1 in eighth grade, they will be enrolled in Integrated Math 1
