The annual event brought together colleges, career programs, workshops, and hands-on demonstrations, offering students a glimpse into the many opportunities that await them. With more than 20 booths and 12 workshops, the fair provided engaging activities and resources for students at every stage of their educational journey.
The day began with a spirited performance by the Baldwin Park High School Band and Colorguard, followed by live hosting from the Baldwin Park Sports Network (BSPN). Throughout the event, the gymnasium buzzed with activity as college recruiters and career representatives engaged with students, while families explored information booths and community resources.
Baldwin Park Adult and Community Education (BPACE) showcased its programs through interactive, show-and-tell style demonstrations. Visitors experienced free haircuts, beauty services, culinary samples of open-faced tamales, and live demonstrations from its electrician program. The Early Childhood Education team was also present, offering fun giveaways and enrollment information for families of young learners.
Additional highlights included a guest appearance by Assemblywoman Blanca Rubio, Board of Education member José M. Mata receiving a haircut from BPACE cosmetology students, and Board Member Norma Olmos enjoying a manicure. Local business Acai Republic also gave away free mini acai bowls, while the scholarship writing workshop drew a full house of eager students.
Baldwin Park High School’s Drone Program drew attention with a hands-on display and an informational workshop on Career Technical Education (CTE) and technology pathways. Meanwhile, other workshops on financial aid and college planning kicked off with students eager to learn about their next steps. Across the fair, booths radiated alma mater spirit, with staff proudly representing their universities and career backgrounds while connecting with families.
