On Sept. 17,2025, the Sierra Vista High School NAMI club carried out its largest effort yet. Last year, students set a goal of 1,690 Post-it notes to cover every locker on campus. This year, with dozens of new volunteers joining in, the club surpassed that goal and decorated hundreds of extra notes, which were then placed on teachers’ doors to extend the message even further.
The campaign also included distributing postcards with mental health resources to arriving students, ensuring each classmate received both a positive message and a tangible reminder of available support.
“Today's event is meaningful because it spreads awareness and positive affirmations in a simple but very visible way.” said senior and club co-president Nadia Padilla.
Angela Condez, a senior and fellow co-president, added, “We want students to know there are resources and people on campus who care about them.”
The effort, guided by advisor Melanie Graf, has grown into a signature event for Sierra Vista’s NAMI Club, which is closely tied to the school’s mental health pathway. Students and staff say the visibility of the project makes the message clear: every student’s well-being matters.
