BPUSD Board of Education Appoints Annalynn C. Apolinario as Member

Baldwin Park Unified School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Annalynn C. Apolinario to the governing Board of Education for a provisional term which began on February 15, 2024.

Annalynn C. Apolinario has been a resident of the City of Baldwin Park for over 45 years. She is a product of the Baldwin Park Unified School District (BPUSD), having attended Tracy Elementary, Sierra Vista Middle, and Sierra Vista High School. She is a dedicated mother of three daughters, and one stepdaughter. Two of her children currently attend BPUSD schools. Apolinario participated in her first regular Board of Education meeting on February 27, 2024.

“My true passion has always centered on advocacy for the marginalized and underserved,” Annalynn Apolinario said.

Apolinario is currently employed as a patient advocate in the healthcare industry. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice from California State University Los Angeles, Associate Degree in Administration in Criminal Justice from Mt. San Antonio College, and a CNA certification from a local nursing school.

“My greatest joy comes from spending time with my daughters and actively engaging in the community,” Annalynn Apolinario said.

Apolinario serves as the 2nd Vice President of the Baldwin Park Woman's Club. Additionally, she contributed to important initiatives such as the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA) Annual Homeless Count, provided peer support as a Specialist for Domestic Violence Survivors through the California Mental Health Connection, represented her community at the 31st Congressional District Mental Health Consortium, and volunteered for Veteran home restoration and renovation projects. Her commitment to service also extends to Baldwin Park Council Member Damian’s Annual Giving Thanksgiving Back Turkey Drive and Toy Drive, the BPUSD Citizens’ Oversight Committee on Measures K and AE, the Superintendent's Budget Advisory Committee, the Superintendent’s School Closure Committee, the District’s Re-Opening of Schools Task Force, involvement as an Orchestra Booster for Sierra Vista High School, and as a BPUSD school volunteer.
