Ensuring Safety Together

Dear Baldwin Park Unified Community,

In light of recent national and global events, BPUSD would like to reiterate our commitment of prioritizing school safety and creating a warm, inclusive environment for all. Schools should be a place where everyone feels safe, respected, and supported to learn. In support of this, we ask that our families and community join us in carrying out safety practices together.  

 

Staying Vigilant Together

Dangerous behaviors, objects, and weapons are never allowed on any of our campuses. Taking note of suspicious or alarming behavior and habits among peers is also vital. We encourage our students and community to SPEAKUP “If you see something, say something,” to report suspicious activity and keep our peers safe. SPEAKUP tips may be submitted anonymously. In addition, any safety concerns can be reported to school or District office administrators. Additional resources regarding SPEAKUP are available below.

By working together, we can strengthen a safe and welcoming school environment for everyone.

A la luz de eventos recientes al nivel nacional y mundial, deseamos reiterar nuestro compromiso de priorizar la seguridad escolar y crear un entorno cómodo e inclusivo. Las escuelas deben ser un lugar donde todos se sientan seguros, respetados y apoyados. Con ese fin, pedimos la colaboración de nuestras familias y la comunidad. 

 

Debemos permanecer vigilantes

Las armas y los comportamientos y objetos peligrosos están tácitamente prohibidos en nuestras escuelas. Es vital que los estudiantes sean observadores y reporten actividades, comportamientos o hábitos sospechoso o alarmantes para mantener seguros a sus compañeros. Este tipo de reporte se puede hacer con los administradores de la escuela, la oficina del Distrito y SPEAKUP, nuestra línea directa de seguridad. Abajo encontrarán más información sobre SPEAKUP.
