Head Start

Program Overview
 
Head Start is a federally-funded preschool program designed for children ages three to five. Baldwin Park Unified School District has provided Head Start services for families since the program's inception in 1965. Today the program serves approximately 750 children and their families in the cities of Baldwin Park, Irwindale, Bell, Cudahy, and Maywood. Classrooms options vary by location, but include part-day, full-day, or home-based services.
