Late Deanna C. Robles Honored During BPUSD Board of Education Meeting

In a regular session of the Board of Education, a dedicated spotlight ceremony was conducted to honor the memory of Deanna C. Robles. BPUSD Board President Diana E. Miranda-Dzib shared her heartfelt condolences and presented Robles’ family with a commemorative plaque for her service and dedication to the community. 
 
“This loss for the community, staff, students, and the Board is tremendous. She was a strong woman who went through some hardships but always came out on top,” said Baldwin Park Unified Board of Education President Diana E. Miranda-Dzib.
 
Superintendent Dr. Froilan N. Mendoza also expressed a few words. “We will continue to remember that Deanna was a fighter who would stand up for what she believed in.”
 
Additional guest attendees included representatives from District associations and staff, City of Baldwin Park’s Mayor Pro-Tem Jean M. Ayala and City Clerk Christopher Saenz, the Office of Senator Susan Rubio, and the Office of Assemblywoman Blanca Rubio. They gathered to express their gratitude to the Robles family.
 
Deanna C. Robles departed late evening on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at the age of 53. Ms. Robles served as a member of the Governing Board of Education for five years and dedicated herself to the Baldwin Park community with unwavering commitment and a deep passion for the education of our students.
 
The Board of Education adjourned the meeting in her honor.
