The South Coast Air Quality Management District (South Coast AQMD) will hold a community meeting to discuss the application for a permit to operate an emergency internal combustion engine at the City of Hope in Irwindale. The new engine driving the generator is located within 1,000 feet of Walnut Elementary School and Olive Middle School.
The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24 at Olive Middle, located at 13701 Olive St., Baldwin Park. Spanish interpretation will be provided.
During the meeting, community members will receive an overview of the project and have an opportunity to ask questions and provide comments.
