Dear Baldwin Park Unified Community,
This morning, we were informed that a high school student was approached by a stranger who attempted to coerce her into his car while she waited for the bus. We are asking that students, parents, and staff be on high alert and aware of their surroundings.
Please remain vigilant for the suspect described as an older African American male, who drove a white car. The incident occurred near the corner of Harlan and Ramona Ave before school began.
Baldwin Park Unified is collaborating with local law enforcement on the incident. The District strongly encourages students and their families to take extra caution as they are going to and from school, be on the lookout, and contact the Baldwin Park Police Department immediately at 626.960.1955 ext. 0 if you see a person who fits this description. Should you see any suspicious activity or are confronted by a stranger, immediately call 911.

Esta mañana nos informaron que un extraño se acercó a una estudiante de preparatoria e intentó obligarla a subir a su automóvil mientras esperaba el autobús. Pedimos que los estudiantes, padres y personal estén en alerta máxima y conscientes de su entorno.
Permanezcan atentos al sospechoso descrito como un hombre afroamericano mayor que conducía un automóvil blanco. El incidente ocurrió cerca de la esquina de Harlan y Ramona Ave antes de que comenzaran las clases.
El Distrito Unificado de Baldwin Park está colaborando con las autoridades locales en este asunto.
