Elementary GATE Program

Elementary GATE Program 2021-2022

The talents and potential of our Elementary GATE students are nurtured through an outstanding seven session, once a month/all day, pullout program for our 3rd-5th grade students at each school site. 

 This program takes place during the school day, seven times a year, and emphasizes critical and creative thinking activities that help develop a student's intellectual, inquiry, and analysis skills. 

The GATE Prompts of Depth and Complexity are also explored through highly engaging and in-depth lessons, using a variety of learning modalities.  The Elementary GATE program culminates with GATE students creating Choice Activity Projects based on the theme of learning for the school year.  

We end our year with a GATE Showcase that celebrates our students and their achievements in the GATE program.  Baldwin Park Unified School District goes above and beyond by ensuring that this first-rate GATE program provides the enrichment, motivation, and challenges our gifted students need.
