"Police Employee of the Year" Honored at BPUSD Employee Banquet

POY 2009The "Police Employee of the Year Award" is presented annually to a deserving member of the Baldwin Park Unified School District Police Department, as selected by the Baldwin Park School Police Officers’ Association.

The "Police Employee of the Year Award" is presented by the association membership to the department employee who best exemplifies the ideals of the school police department and the police officers’ association. The honor of being selected as the "Police Employee of the Year" is especially rewarding for the honoree, because he or she is selected from their peers, by their peers.

This year, Officer Jose Valencia was selected by the association to receive the 2009/2010 "Police Employee of the Year Award".  Officer Valencia, shown here with Officer Jill Poe, President of the Baldwin Park School Police Officers' Association, and Captain Rudy V. Gatto (left), received his award at the Baldwin Park School District’s Employee Recognition Banquet on June 4, 2010.

Congratulations to Jose on this accomplishment!
