LOS ANGELES UNIVERSAL PRESCHOOL (LAUP)

Los Angeles Universal Preschool (LAUP) is a preschool program available to every four-year-old child residing in Los Angeles County.  LAUP currently enhances existing programs at the Rachel Holliday Children’s Center. The enhancement program operates twelve (12) months for three and a half (3) hours per day in conjunction with the California State Preschool Program (CSPP).  Families who wish to participate in this program must meet the (CSPP) eligibility guidelines set forth by the California Department of Education (CDE).

The stand alone LAUP preschool program operates ten (10) months annually starting in September and ending in June.  It is offered to children who are 4 years of age and whose families reside in Los Angeles County.  The program operates in two (2) three hour sessions; a morning session from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and an afternoon session from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.   The program is located at various elementary schools within Baldwin Park Unified School District.  All families are required to pay a Parent Investment Fee of $300 or $30 monthly.  This fee may be waived by LAUP for eligible families by completing a Parent Fee Waiver application.
